Cinnamon Raisin Bagels

I have been having some fun experimenting with my two-ingredient bagel recipe! I now only make them with bread flour. I also love to make them in the air fryer. It’s easier and quicker. I don’t have to worry about the oven taking long to preheat or making the kitchen too warm! Clean up is also very easier! First flavor I tried were cinnamon raisin bagels!

It starts off similar to my two-ingredient bagel recipe (which we will now call the base recipe). I first mixed the dry ingredients: 1 cup bread flour, 1 ½ tsp. baking powder, ½ tsp. salt. To this I added about 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon and mixed until combined. In a separate bowl I mixed 1 cup Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon, and some vanilla. Once combined I added the yogurt mixture to the dry ingredients. When the dough starts to form, I added about 1/3 cup of raisins.  After the raisins were incorporated, I divided the dough into 4 sections creating 4 bagels. I did an egg wash on both sides but then topped it with a raw sugar sprinkle. My air fryer as a bake setting, I had that preheat at 350 and placed the bagels on parchment paper (easier clean up LOL) in the air fryer for about 20 minutes. (in the oven I would do 375 for 20 minutes) I did do the base bagel recipe in the air fryer at 375 for 20 minutes, but it was a bit too hot and too long. At 350 for 20 minutes the bagels still were a nice golden color but not over cooked!

Overall, they were delicious with both cream cheese and butter. I think I liked butter slightly more, but I would eat either. Now I am also on a mission to try other flavor bagels – so stayed tuned!
