Sub in a Tub

I hopped on the easier chopper craze, so obviously I then had to try the viral sub in a tub. It is delicious, but I think I can go more places with it and my dressing wasn’t quite right. But I am sure I will make it again, because it was yummy!

I started with my lettuce, then added red onions, salami, ham, pepperoni, cheddar cheese (because that is what I had), pepperoncini’s and tomatoes. I chopped each one then added them to my containers instead of keeping them in the tub. The dressing was just mayo, red wine vinegar, and salt and pepper. I just measured with my heart in each container and then mixed together. I was hoping that the dressing would get better overnight, like the hoagie pasta salad and it did. But the later days in the week the dressing made the salad too soggy.

So I think when meal prepping, I will wait to do the dressing for each container. I used the smaller chopping grate, so next time I will try the larger one, in the hopes that larger chunks can hold the dressing and not get soggy. I also think provolone cheese would be better. I love white cheddar, but something about provolone on a sub completes that taste palate lol. I may also mixed up the ingredients. If you have combination suggestions – let me know in the comments below!
