Carrabba’s Italian Grill

Last stop on our weekend trip was Carabbas for a birthday meal! A great family place, with good food and drinks!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: I have been to several different locations and they have an open kitchen which is great, table and booth seating as well as the bar. The staff were friendly, welcoming and gave speedy service! Overall a welcoming atmosphere for the whole family!

Drinks/Cocktails: I started to read the menu and was about to stick with my love for tequila and get the pear margarita, but then decided to try the peach sangria instead. After all it is peach season! It was delicious a 10/10, would definitely recommend. Round two, I went with the black berry sangria. It was still delicious, more of a 7/10 for me as I am not a huge red wine fan.

Menu: At an Italian place like Carabbas, I always order pasta. I will say their garlic mashed potatoes are just as good though. But first let’s start with the appetizers. First you get fresh made bread and olive oil. So delicious! If I had to rank our previous Italian restaurants and their bread and olive oil, here is how it would be: 1. Maggiano’s, 2. Carrabbas and 3. Bertucci’s. But honestly they are all good. We also order calamari (10/10) and shrimp scampi (9/10) to start. Both paired well with my peach sangria, if I say so myself LOL.

Entrees comes with a choice of soup or salad as as starter as well. For entrée, I ordered the shrimp and scallop linguini in vodka sauce. It was creamy, delicious and the seafood was cooked perfectly (9/10)! They gave big portions, and we both has some left over for lunch the next day! It was perfect. Maybe next time, I will try the lasagna.

Tips/Recommendations: Enjoy the yummy bread and olive oil. Calamari is by far my favorite appetizer if you want to order an appetizer. Order a variety of entrees at the table so you can all taste each other’s and more of the menu! If you love sangria and love peach, definitely order the peach sangria! As always, try something new every time you go!
