Molten Lava cake is one of my favorite desserts to order while out to eat. If I see they have this on their menu, then I need to order dessert. No questions LOL. But I have never made one so I wanted to try it at home. It may be a reoccurring dessert as it was that easy!
Preheat the oven to 355. In a Pryex measuring cup I melted ¼ cup chocolate chips with ¼ butter in the microwave. I then mixed well together until smooth. Next add ¼ cup flour, ¼ cup cocoa powder, ¼ cup powdered sugar, ¼ cup oat milk and stirred until smooth. In a greased ramekin dish, I added the batter. I then place the ramekin on a larger baking sheet so it was easy to take in and out of the oven. Baked for 15 minutes. I let it cool for a few minutes and then turned it upside down on a plate. I frantically held my breath and gave and shake – it didn’t come out. I gave another shake – still nothing. Then PLOP! It fell and I topped with some powdered sugar. The true test was to cut into it to see if the center was gooey and lava like… a perfect 10/10!
It was easy, and now will be made whenever I am in the mood for molten lava cake!
