High Street Caffe (West Chester, PA)

Hi friends! I am still catching up here on more 2022 reviews LOL. Next up is High Street Caffé in West Chester!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This corner café gives you Bourbon St. vibes! Staff were welcoming, friendly and make you feel like a part of the family. The décor takes you right to a New Orleans vibe! It a chill, quiet atmosphere. Great for a night out with friends, family or date!

Drinks: High Street Café is BYOB, which is a great offer. Get to pick what you like. A bottle of white wine was brought, and they kept it in an ice bucket to stay chilled which was perfect!

Menu: Wow, the menu. I even looked it at before arriving to narrow down my selections. To start, the Cajun calamari and the blacked bay scallops were ordered. The calamari was lightly battered, yet very crispy. They were not chewy/over cooked, but delicious and flavorful! The scallops, were a whole other level. I would have to rate them at a 12/10 as they were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth with each bite. They were topped with a honey mustards sauce that balanced and pair perfectly with the blackened seasoning. Warm homemade bread was also brought to the table. It was served with a homemade garlic honey butter that again melted in your mouth with every bite.

It was the main course I had a hard time deciding and then when arriving there had to be daily specials thrown into the mix LOL. But since specials are not always offered, I decided to order the catfish served over jambalaya. The Cajun cuisine here is perfect, and I do not think anything ordered wouldn’t be delicious and melt in your mouth. Food was delicious and filling but dessert also needed to be tried. So chocolate mousse and the chocolate raspberry flourless torte were ordered. Both were rich in chocolate flavor, the perfect amount of sweetness. But they could not be finished and made for a great breakfast on another morning LOL.

Tips/Recommendations: I recommend making a reservation. It can get busy, and it will help to ensure your tale for the night! The scallops are the must order item. If any of the specials sound appetizing, order them before they are no longer an option. Do not skip dessert, as you can always take home leftovers. And as always try something new every time you go.
