Our last night in Tennessee we ventured to Bristol. This cute town has Tennessee on one side of State Street and Virginia on the other side. We had dinner at Bloom, on the Virginia side.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: This restaurant/bar was a chill spot with a great vibe. We sat at the bar, and even when they started to get busy, the bartenders were awesome! Sitting at the bar was a great experience too!
Drinks: The drink menu has plenty of options. I ordered a margarita that came in a boot glass! It was tart and strong and the cute glass makes it a 10/10. It was also happy hour, so I decided to order their house made berry lemonade with tequila! Another great cocktail selection. I liked that it was refreshing and not too sweet!
Menu: Another menu with many great selections. We ordered family style, to get to taste as much as possible. We started off with their charcuterie board (8/10; the homemade jam and biscuits were my favorite), pork belly bao buns (7/10; cute, mini and delicious, just not the best I have had) and pork belly ramen (5/10; warm but not amazing flavors, fairly bland in taste and didn’t do much for me). For the main course we split the braised beef. These get 11/10. It was tender, delicious and piled on top of creamy mashed potatoes with a gravy and mushrooms. The beef melted in your mouth with each bite! I had zero problems making sure all was eaten and the plate was clean. For dessert, mom ordered the tiramisu and I order the bailey/kahlua affogato. It was the perfect dessert to a great meal! Creamy vanilla ice cream topped with espresso, baileys and kahula. Another 10/10! Check out their full menu here!
Tips/Recommendations: We made a reservation, and they did get busy, especially the bar. So highly recommend that you make a reservation! Happy hour is a great time to go for drink specials and you will not be disappointed with any drink you order! The charcuterie board is a great starter and to taste multiple items! It comes in two sizes depending on your party size. Definitely order the braised beef! And as always, try something new every time you go!
