Eggs Up Grill (Johnson City, TN)

You’re probably wondering how we had any room for more food after Juniper in our Tennessee trip? Well it was a new day and new stomach LOL. First up on our last full day in Tennessee was Eggs Up Grill. A selection by mom and me. Dad’s pick (where we went to first) was closed LOL.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This spot is open, bright and welcoming! They have counter seating and tables! The staff were so friendly and super helpful and patient. It was a great family setting!

Drinks: A variety of drinks were offered. Juices, sodas, coffees, teas and even some mimosas. We opted to hydrate with some water and coffee; mom ordered a cafe mocha! Delicious, smooth and strong all around.

Menu: The menu. Where to start? Well, per usual, it was very hard to decide what to order. Watching the surrounding tables get their food, also did not help LOL. Mom ordered the founder’s hash Benedict with a side of bacon. It corned beef hash made with potatoes and onions on a toasted English muffin, topped with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce and home fries on the top. Bacon was perfectly greasy and crispy! The corned beef hash was tender and melted in your mouth with each bite a 10/10. Dad ordered the grand classic which included two eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, home fries and grits. It was the perfect combo to taste a little bit of everything! 7/10: delicious but nothing special. I decided on the Red, White and Bacon pancakes: two fluffy buttermilk pancakes with crispy bacon pieces cooked into the batter, topped with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar and garnished with even more bacon. They get a solid 10/10. Putting bacon inside the pancake batter was genius and I don’t know why I never tried it before. It was the perfect savory to pair with the sweet of the batter and the fresh strawberries on top! Then I ordered a side of hash browns and an egg, because you can never past up on a gooey egg and potatoes. Click here to see the full menu!

Tips/Recommendation: Check out one of the several different locations. You will not want to miss out! I recommend the red, white and bacon pancakes. They are a must order! As well has their hash browns! They also offer online ordering if you need something on the go! And as always, try something new every time you go!
