The Pantry (Lancaster, PA)

Mom and I wanted to get some breakfast but most of our first thoughts were either closed on Mondays or had to close due to COVID. But then mom thought of The Pantry and what a great decision this was!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This tiny little spot doesn’t look like much on the outside, but there is plenty of seating inside and out back when the weather is nice. There is a big chalkboard wall that one of the waiters posts and decorates herself! They had specials displayed as well as a fun Christmas themed mural. The staff are super friendly and it’s a great family atmosphere!

Drinks: Coffee is on the menu and plenty of it, along with juices and milk – your go to breakfast drinks!

Menu: At first glance, it doesn’t look like a big menu but you will have a hard time deciding. Mom and I did. Plus their breakfast is served all day!! They have your traditional breakfast combos, french toast, pancakes, sandwiches and more! Their signature is the skillet meals – served hot and ready in a hot skillet! When I couldn’t decided, our waitress suggested one of the skillets. Mom ordered the Italian Garden Skillet with a side of bacon (10/10). It includes two scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms, broccoli and provolone cheese served with toast and homefries. I ordered the Great American Breakfast skillet (10/10) including three scrambled eggs with cheddar, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage links, homesfries and toast. Both were so delicious that we ate it all, but some of our toast. Everything was balanced and paired so well together; we really have no complaints!

Tips/Recommendations: Other than going and trying it out, the skillet recipes should be your first order. Mom and I both recommend the one that we ordered, but I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with any of the options. We recommend trying to get there early if you can. We arrived right when they opened and they were not busy. We were only there about 40 minutes tops and they got busy, really quickly! But if you in a pinch for time, ordering to-go is an option!! And lastly, as always, try something new every time you go!
