Birthday celebrations are the best excuse to go out for a good meal! We recently celebrated Lia’s birthday at the Bulls Head (on the dinning room side).
Ambiance/Atmosphere: There are two sides to the Bulls Head, your traditional English Pub on one side and a dinning room on the other side with outdoor seating as well. They have redone the dinning side in the last few years. Fun paintings on the wall with plenty of seating and a bar. They also have a fireplace and seating in their lobby. They were still decorated for Christmas to set the mood and bring the spirit!
Drinks/Cocktails: They have wide variety of drinks, wines, cocktails and a draft list. We all went the cocktails route! I cannot remember the names, but when the description starts with something along the lines of “if you’re a tequila lover…” then you order it! The other cocktail had a shimmer of edible glitter to level it up! 10/10 all around for the cocktails!
Menu: The menu is not too huge, but if you’re hungry and like food like me, you will still have a hard time choosing. They have traditional pub fare, sandwiches and entrees. We started off with the fried pickles as appetizer (9/10). I have been here several times before, and their Caesar salads are one of the best, if not the best to order. So I knew I was ordering that.
This time around I ordered the half size with a crab cake and the mushroom toast. First time I had the mushroom toast and it was BOMB, 11/10! If you are a mushroom lover like me, then you MUST order it because you will not regret it!
Around the table we also ordered the crab cake sandwich, steak and fries and the grilled cheese with tomato soup. Then of course we had to order dessert, the apple pie cheesecake, spiced flourless chocolate cake and the chai creme brûlée! All were so delicious and great way to end the celebratory meal! Tips/Recommendations: If you are looking for the dinning experience, then you want to make a reservation! The Caesar salad is a must order, I love to have it with their salmon. If you love cocktails, you really can’t go wrong ordering one of them. Ask your waiter for recommendations if you cannot decide on what to order. And as always, try something new every time you go!
