Ocean Harbor Dim Sum (Philadelphia)

Birthday meals are a must! Mom decided to go to Ocean Harbor Dim Sum in Chinatown in Philly. Her and dad had recently went and really enjoyed it. They had asked for a recommendation while walking and Chinatown. Someone said this was one of the best if not the best in Chinatown. For mom’s birthday meal, I was there to enjoy all the yums and celebrate as well!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: We went on a Saturday afternoon. Although it was very busy, the staff kept the line moving and were quick with service. It was a great experience. If you are not familiar with dim sum restaurants, they bring carts around with their different menu items that you get to select what you want. Even with Covid, they were very clean and switch out all in between guests. There are plenty of tables for seatings for small or big parties. They even have a stage for when they are rented out for events!

Drinks: Hot tea and water are the go to options and really all my parents and I needed! They do have other drinks and a bar for more options! haha

Menu: As soon as we sat down, the carts were coming around with our options to order! Some of my favorites included the shau mai, dumplings and green beans. Their calamari was probably the best we’ve had. Very lightly breaded but so crunchy and delicious! There are some special menu items you can get made to order, but we were satisfied with all the cart options! They do have a take-out menu. Click here to see it all!

Tips/Recommendations: Even though we did not wait too long for Saturday, I would recommend going during the week if you can to avoid the larger crowds/busy times.
