Homemade Tortilla Chips

I love tortilla chips with salsa, queso, gauc or really any dip. I have been wanting to try and try my own homemade tortilla chips, so I finally gave it a whirl!

It’s super easy and they paired perfectly with gauc and our tacos. First heat oil in a pan. Simply take tortillas and cut them into small triangles. I used small corn tortillas (taco sized) and I cut them into 8 triangles. Once the oil was heated I fried them for a few minutes on either side until they were golden brown. Once I removed them I placed them on a paper towel lined plate and sprinkled them with salt.

They turned out perfectly crunchy and not too salty. They were quick simple, and I liked them better than buying a bag. However, it is easier and way less effort to just buy a bag, so I can’t say I will only be making my own here own out LOL. Have you made your own chips before? What is your favorite way to have them?
