Minella’s Diner (Wayne, PA)

Does anyone else love breakfast food from a diner?! I don’t know what it is but it’s always delicious, comforting and quick service! We decided to check out Millena’s Diner that is right by down the street.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This cute little diner right off route 30 is set up like most diners. Lots of tables, booths and a counter. It has the mirror trim/décor all around the inside. The staff were so friendly and continuous checking in with tables, customers and bringing more coffee if needed. We went on a Saturday morning, and it was busy, but we were seated right away and the service was quick!

Drinks/Cocktails: They have a variety of drinks for breakfast, juice, coffee and sodas. But they also have alcohol (after a certain time)! So I went for it and order a Bloody Maria (with tequila instead of vodka). It was delicious, refreshing and the perfect balance of tomato juice and tequila! They also have beer, wine, cocktails and spike coffee drinks if you are feeling dangerous!

Menu: As most diners, they have your typical items on the menu: eggs, omelets, French toast, pancakes and waffles. And as always I had a hard time deciding what to order. Decided to try their omelets. He order bacon, tomatoes and onions. They are made with farm fresh eggs and served with home fries and toast. It was made perfectly to his standards (which can be very picky LOL). I opted to order the Main Line Special which including 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, sausage and bacon. But then I wanted to try their home fries so I order a side of them as well. I had no clue that it would come out on three different plates LOL.

Their pancakes were fluffy, soft but still so tasty. I don’t think they were a buttermilk batter, but whatever they were, it was delicious and different from most diner pancakes. I would recommend ordering the pancakes. The table next to us ordered the waffles and they looked delicious as well. I want to try them and/or the French toast next time! Overall the food was great! Tips/Recommendations: Don’t be afraid to order a cocktail or alcohol with breakfast YOLO. If you like a little bit of everything, the Main Line Special is a good way to taste a nice sample of the menu. Omelets are your go to – then we say order of when of their many recipes! If you love home fries, definitely order them as well. My side order was massive! We took leftovers and had them for breakfast the next day! They also have take out, so if you don’t want to wait for a table but you want the diner food order take out! Ask your server for their favorite dishes if you cannot decide. The rest of the menu sounds so good, that I want to go back for lunch or dinner! And as always, try something new every time you go!
