It’s late afternoon, Mom and I are not sure if we want lunch or a snack. So we drive around to see what we pass. We decide with ice cream and stop at the Milkhouse at Oregon Dairy. This local family on market has a restaurant and ice cream shop! Basically they can meet all your needs. We opted for ice cream this time around!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: The Milkhouse is connected to the restaurant, but they have their own entrance with some outdoor seating. This a great place for the whole family. They have a playground for the kids as well as a cow for the perfect picture op! They also have various events or the whole family so you want to check out their website because they are more than just ice cream!
Menu: They offer so many flavors including some sugar free and dairy free! You can get your ice cream in a dish, cone, milkshake or sundae form! Mom decided to order a milkshake, Java Caramel. But she replaced the caramel with peanut butter sauce! It was the perfect combination. I ordered a float, but it was coffee with coffee ice cream. It was so yummy and was the perfect afternoon pick me up (10/10). Then, of course with our ice cream we ordered soft pretzels to complete the perfect afternoon snack!
Tips Recommendations: If you love ice cream or looking for an ice cream spot with added fun then this place you need to check out! I would only recommend the coffee float if you enjoy drinking regular coffee. Mom wasn’t the biggest fan as she enjoys the lattes and fancy coffee drinks more! Check their website for their events. If you enjoy PA Dutch family style cooking, the restaurant is also worth a try. And as always, try something new every time you go.
