The third food stop on the weekend trip was CAVA. I like to describe CAVA as the Mediterranean version of Chipotle.
Menu: You enter CAVA and go up and order, select your ingredients and toppings just like Chipotle. Your options include a salad, grain bowl, grain+green bowl, pita, mini pita or Rightrice bowl. The have preselect menu items you can order or you can create your own! I love to order the grain+green bowl. It’s half rice (white or brown rice) and half greens(SuperGreens, Organic Arugula, Spinach, Romaine, or SplendidGreens). I love pita bread but I know I would select so many ingredients to be on inside that it will be hard to fold and eat. Plus you get a mini pita bread on the side of your bowl! After you select you base, you then select the dips/spreads (Tzazki, Hummus, Crazy Feta, Harissa, Red pepper hummus, roasted eggplant dip). You can select as many as you want! Up next is the protein (Roasted White Sweet Potato, Harissa Honey Chicken, Grilled Chicken, Falafel, grilled meatballs, braised lamb, spicy meatballs or roasted vegetables).

Next up is the toppings (lettuce, pita crisps, cabbage slaw, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and so much much). Last is your finishing dressing (yogurt dill, lemon herb tahini, greek vinaigrette, garlic dressing, skhug, tahini Caesar and hot harissa vinaigrette). If you haven’t notice they have a great variety of fresh ingredients!
If their food hasn’t convinced you that you need to check CAVA out, then their house made sips sure will! They include fresh made juices and teas and they are delicious. Options vary by season and location!

I did a mix of blueberry lavender, cucumber mint and strawberry citrus. They are refreshing, flavorful and not sweet!
Tips/Recommendations: We recommend bowls, mainly because you want so many toppings that a pita will be hard to eat. But you can also still get a pita on the side! Try new things every time you go. Download their app to order ahead and pick up!
