If I have finished all my binge worthy shows and I am waiting for new episodes or seasons to be released, then you will most likely find me watching Food Network. I would say at least 5 out of the 7 days of the week, the Food Network on the TV. I love it😍. I watch for inspiration, recipes and new ideas! Some of my recipes were inspired and originated from a food network show, so I thought I’d share why Food Network is my favorite and go to channel!
Top Restaurant/Recipe Sharing Shows
- Diners, Drive Ins & Dives
- Pioneer Woman
- Giada Entertains/home
- Girl Meets Farm
- The Kitchen
- Delicious Miss Brown
I am sure it comes as no surprise that Triple D is at the top of my list. I mean I love going out and trying new food and giving it a good review. I just need to make notes of every where Guy went and what he ate, so I can do the same thing! Too bad I can have a show like him.😆 #dreamjob
The rest of the shows could honestly be all tied. Because it depends on what is being cooked. I love that they all offer great home cooked recipes, cheats, quick and easy meals, and those all wanting comfort foods. I love watching Ree make quick family meals as well as freezer ready meals. Giada gives great recipes and tips for Italian food and homemade pasta. Her Fettuccini Alfredo recipe is by far my favorite! Molly Yeh has the great variety of food and mixes some of her Chinese and Jewish backgrounds which can lead me thinking! (dangerous, I know) The kitchen is great to get a variety of recipes jammed in 1 hour’s time. Lastly, Kadrea’s has the southern inspired comfort food recipes. 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 This is making me hungry just typing about it.
Competition Shows
- Tournament of Champions
- Guys Grocery Games
- Chopped
- Supermarket Stakeout
- Beat Bobby Flay
- Kitchen Crash
Some may make fun of me all the time for “getting too into” cooking competitions. But I tell them there is nothing wrong with – I mean they have Culinary Olympics. Therefore, cooking is an Olympic sport!😂 My top favorite cooking competitions can give you the best ideas for cooking! I love watching Triple G. Guy’s games can be outrageous with ingredients I may never use. But it can give you some of the best ideas of how to use certain ingredients.
Any of these competitions can provide new easy and quick ways to make certain foods! I am always looking for new recipes and can find some great ideas from all of them. Tournament of Champions has become one of my few favorite show! The best of the best compete against each other. The Randomizer selects certain ingredients, style of cooking and cooking time. It can be nice or completely cruel. But these chefs come to play with some of the best meals. So if you like food and you love competition like I do, then TOC is for you!
You may be wondering, how do I remember recipes or do I take notes. In some of the competitions shows I will make mental notes, or I record them for a later time. But I have downloaded the Food Network Kitchen app for all recipes. You can search by ingredient, show, or chef! I recommend that you download it if you look up new recipes as much as I do!
Outside of the Food Network, I love watching Selena+Chef on HBO Max. Some great chefs are guests on the show and Selena makes you feel normal for not being able to do all the fancy things. Let’s say she’s relatable in the kitchen haha. Do you have a favorite show or chef that gives you inspiration? I’d love to hear your favorites!

My favorite if Triple D and Beat Bobby Flay. I also enjoy Selena and Chef

I love all 6 from your first list! I’d add Barefoot Contessa to my list too because I love how she talks through her steps and I like how she thinks through having cocktails, food, dessert, and a nicely decorated table when she’s having friends over for a meal.
