If you didn’t know I do love steak, so does mom. We can blame her for my love of steak LOL. After nails, mom had a gift card, not that we needed the excuse, but we chose Texas Roadhouse anyways!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: It was a busy night, as we didn’t know there was a school fundraiser, so we opted to sit at the bar. We love the bar atmosphere, plus they have peanuts for you to enjoy while you wait. We like the bar service as well, even on the busy night, the bartender was great and always checking in. This chain restaurant is great for family and friend get togethers or even date night. It is a fun atmosphere for all.
Drinks: They have a full menu and bar of drinks, but we opted for just water. Work nights can be a drag lol. But I can tell you have I had their margaritas, and they are fun and worth the order LOL.
Menu: Their menu has a bit of everything, but again we were there for steaks! Lol I went with the NY strip again. But for sides I ordered the veggie medley, mashed potatoes and then added onions and mushrooms smothering the steak. And of course, you cannot forget the rolls and cinnamon butter! Again, a harder task to not fill up too much on the rolls before the meal lol. The steak was not as high quality or delicious as the one from Joey Chops. But it gave you that homecooked/at home dinner that is a comforting feeling. I didn’t have problems eating my steak this time around, but I did have left over sides and rolls to take home and they do make great leftovers! Their mashed potato has sour cream mixed in and they are chunky. They make a for a great and different potato side.
Tips/Recommendations: I think this is a great spot of you want to enjoy a family style or home-cooked like meal. Though it was busy for a school fundraiser, it didn’t take from the experience and allows you to contribute towards the fundraiser as well! Steak is always good order, and I say add the mushrooms and onions on top. However, I will say, I prefer Longhorn over Texas Roadhouse when it comes to the quick chain steak stops. But it’s still a good option for a meal! (If I want a higher end steak it’s a tie between The Hawke and Joey Chops lol). But as always, try something new every time you go!
