Melting Pot (King of Prussia)

I have never been to the Melting Pot but heard plenty about it! It’s been on my list to try, and mom and I finally checked it off the list. However, I think I need to go back, because I feel like I only sampled a small portion of the experience lol. Click here to see me insta reel for your preview.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: It was a bit of a last-minute decision to come here, but we were able to get a reservation for when they first opened. The manager greeted us and took us to our table. He did his best to explain the menu and all the options and our waitress did the same. They were so friendly, and really wanted to make it a great experience for us first timers. The restaurant was a vibe with a bar and several dinning areas, for those larger parties if needed. I think it would also make a great date night or family get together location!

Drinks: They have a full bar of drink options – that I didn’t take advantage of at all. So, yes, I need to come back so I can give it a full review!

Menu: I don’t even know where to start for their menu. They have prefixed course meals you can chose from, or you can select a la carte. But don’t pass up on the specials as well. The manager explained that the prefixed selection were dinner size portions, so he recommended a la carte if you were not ready for dinner. We were going to go with the early seating special combination until we realized they had their seasonal Oktoberfest special. This helped to make the decision much easier. You started with a beer cheese fondue, that the waitress made right at your table! With it came: soft pretzel bites, summer sausage, apples, sauerkraut and a mustard. Then you got a skillet to grill bratwurst and a little crock of potatoes, carrots and braise short ribs. It was a delicious feast of fun festive, German inspired bites. My favorite bites were the pretzel with cheese and brats with cheese and mustard. To end the meal, we had chocolate (dark with dulce de leche) fondue. For dippers, we had waffle pieces, cream puffs, cinnamon coated applies, strawberries, bananas, and pieces of black forest brownies. It was the perfect sweet end after the savory beginning. The waffles and bananas were my favorite. I feel like I only sampled what they have to offer so I am already planning my next time back with other options to get another, yet different experience. See there full menu of options here.

Tips/Recommendations: Try it and tell me when you plan on going, so I can join LOL. Depending when you plan on going and the size of your party, I do recommend making a reservation. It wasn’t busy when we went, but I think have a reservation will help make the experience that much better. Try their special menu items before they are gone. It was the quickest way to decide what to order. If not, study the menu a bit before you go, so you know all the options you have! Don’t skip out on the chocolate fondue/dessert. I think it really completes the meal ending with more fun and sweet fondue options! And as always try something new every time you go!
