California Pizza Kitchen (King of Prussia, PA)

A day of shopping with mom always calls for fun food. This time around we went to California Pizza Kitchen. I had been here a couple times before – but it had been a long time. So, I was excited to try something new.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: I like this location at KOP as it is tucked away from the food court and often doesn’t get as busy as some other restaurants. This location has booths, tables and high/top bar seating. They also have TVs for the viewing sports games. So it’s a bit of a mini sports bar but it a great spot to meet friends and family!

Drinks: They to have a bar with beer, cocktails and wine. We opted for water this time around. But the menu does look like it has some fun things to try next time!

Menu: I have had the avocado egg rolls before and their pizza. I knew both were good. They also give you fresh bread with EVOO. Be careful not fill up on the bread though! We decided to start with the white corn guacamole. It surprised me. Having fresh crunchy corn mixed in gave it another great crunch. I love corn and I feel like it leveled up the guacamole. The chips they serve are perfectly thin, crispy and salty as well! We looked at the special menu first (which what we order is no longer available lol). We decided to share the Korean BBQ pizza and Korean BBQ salad. Both had perfectly season beef. The pizza has a fun crunch slaw topping that elevated each bite. I like that the salad had potatoes and zucchini. It made it a bit hearty and filling. I think I preferred the pizza over the salad, but I am glad that ordered it. Click here to see the full menu and check out their seasonal options.

Tips/Recommendations: Try the specials before they are no longer an option. If you like corn salsa and guacamole, then def order the white corn guacamole. It is the best of both worlds. I also recommend the avocado egg rolls. Given their name, pizza is a must try. But they do have other fun items to order and try! Order several options and share with your table family style. And as always, try something new every time you go.
