I enjoy my air fryer grill combination. I love that it has a thermometer for grilling meat. I haven’t tried steak yet. Mainly because I love when other make it for me or getting it out to eat. This time around, I decided to go for it and make it in my air fryer. I don’t think I will make it any other way…that is if I am cooking at home LOL.
First, I had my steak sitting out to get to room temperature. I then started with my potatoes. I took three potatoes, washed them, and then cut them into wedges/steak fries. I tossed them in EVOO, salt, pepper, chili powder, parsley, and grated parmesan cheese. I preheated the air fryer (on the air crisp setting) to 400. Then I air fried the potatoes for about 15 minutes.
During this time, I let my steak marinate. I used a McCormick Brazilian steakhouse packet. Once the potatoes where done, I switched to my grill plate and grilling feature on the air fryer. I like my steaks rare, so I set it to high grill, rare beef. Once it was preheated, I made sure the thermometer was inserted in the thickest middle section and added the steak. It beeps hair way to flip it. Then it was just up to the air fryer to do its magic. While my steak was grilling, I decided to sauté a mushroom medley with garlic, salt, pepper and some Worcestershire sauce. Then another pan of broccoli with butter, salt, and pepper. When the air fryer beeped again, I removed the steak, keeping the thermometer set and place it on a plate. I let it rest for about 5 minutes (my air fryer had started its own resting timer -genius)! I plated my bites and enjoyed! It was such a delicious meal, as well as good meal prep as it gave me about 3 dinners! Like I said before, I will only ever be making steak in my air fryer – that is if I am cooking LOL. Any good steak marinades I should try next? – Comment below!
