Em J’s Cafe (Berwyn, PA)

Mom and I were set to start a girls day with a good breakfast. We decided to check out Em J’s café. Now I cannot wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This cute corner café is cozy with booth and tables. They have a side patio too – but again we need to wait for warmer weather to enjoy! The safe were so friendly and patient. They also made sure to keep you coffee cup full, which is needed! We were in right after the super bowl and they still had their Eagles décor and specials proud displayed.

Drinks: They have your typical breakfast options and coffee was needed and ordered. It was freshly brewed and deliciously smooth!

Menu: The menu was not huge, but lots of good options that we just wanted to taste them all. We opted to ordered a few items to share and get a good taste of the offerings. First we ordered the sweet potato hash. It had caramelized sweet potatoes with bacon, topped with a poached egg and a chipotle hollandaise sauce. A solid 9/10. A sweet yet savory breakfast meal. Next item ordered to share was the breakfast bagel. Fried eggs with a chicken sausage and pepper jack cheese on an everything bagel. A solid 10/10. The sausage patty was delicious and pair perfect with egg and pepper jack. I love the different breakfast sandwich combination and it makes me want to mix it more when I order bagel sandwiches LOL. Last to order was a side of cream chipped beef and their potatoes. Another 10/10. They fry their chunky potatoes so perfectly crispy. The cream chipped beef was probably one of the best I have had. You could tell it was homemade and made with love and flavor. Click here to see the full menu!

Tips/Recommendations: As I have been saying, add to your list to try. The must order items would be the breakfast bagel or the cream chipped beef. You do not want to miss out! We arrived early, but they started to get very busy, so make sure you plan accordingly. And as always, try something new every time you go!
