Mike and Patty’s (Boston, MA)

Day two of our mini weekend was pack full of fun. We needed to start off with breakfast and fuel the day! As I mentioned in a previous post, I have research, maybe extensively. Planning around food is a must and come naturally. For breakfast I selected Mike and Patty’s for their high reviews and ratings but also because they were only a few blocks from our Airbnb!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This is a small corner shop. And by small, I do mean small. If there are 3 customers standing inside, then it is a crowd! LOL But the kitchen is open and the staff are welcoming and friendly. There is some window seating inside, but just the few short time we were there, they were so busy.

Drinks: Cold morning and day ahead in Boston meant coffee was needed. Fresh, hot brewed self serve coffee was decilious and what was needed to go with the breakfast sandwich ahead.

Menu: It’s not a big menu, but every sandwich sounds delicious and what you want to order. After browsing and unable to decide to order online. We walked there to see if being there would sway our decision. It did not help LOL. But we both ordered the Baller. 11/10! We were not disappointed. They house make their own english muffins. I am not a big fan of english muffins, but there didn’t taste like them. They were light, fluffy and not dry at all. The baller included a fried egg, bacon and Vermont cheddar. Another solid and awesome combination! I want to try Grilled Crack next time, or maybe the burrito and the Robbie lunch sandwich to go! Click here to see the rest of the menu and locations!

Tips/Recommendations: As mentioned, they are small and get busy. So highly recommend doing order ahead online! It didn’t take long to wait, but it was cold outside and too crowded inside lol. Definitely try The Baller. But also don’t be afraid to order several sandwiches to share. Something mom and I usually do but we ended up not doing this time around. And as always, try something new every time you go!
