Brava (Costa del Este)

After a long day in the sun and island hopping around San Blas, we were ready for a hearty, greasy meal and some drinks! My cousin took us to Brava for some pizza!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This location has a great indoor and outdoor seating areas. Outdoor is opened and covered, perfect for bad weather days as well. It was a beautiful evening and perfect night to eat outside on the patio! The staff were friendly and it is a great spot for a family dinner, date night or just a night out.

Drinks: They have a pretty big drink menu. Many cocktails, liquors, beers and wine to choose from. After browsing the menu we finally made selection on some cocktails and beers to order. Once the waiter came back, we ordered. Only to find out that they were not serving alcohol. In Panama, you cannot order drinks on national holidays. We did not realize Day of the Dead (Dia De Los Muertos) meant no alcohol sales. It was a bit disappointing because it was all we were looking forward to having a nice drink with pizza LOL.

Menu: The menu was large, but you probably are thinking luckily we narrowed it down to pizza, right? Yes, one would think …except who knew they had so many options for just pizza! LOL We decided to ordered three pizzas. We ordered a pepperoni churrasco, trufada roquefort and colifor de jamon. The pizza was delicious and the perfect meal after a full day in the sun. The crust was crispy and the cheese was extra gooey! The toppings all balanced very well together. All around I would give them a 8.5/10! Click here to see the full and very large menu.

Tips/Recommendation: First, don’t go on a national holiday when alcohol cannot be served. It will be a very big disappointment when you go to order LOL. It if is a nice day or evening, eat outside. It is the perfect setting. I definitely recommend the pizza. They have so many options, but I do not see any of them not being delicious! Their happy hour menu also looks like it is a must try! And as always, try something new every time you go!
