Double C (Lancaster, PA)

Last month Lia and I switched it up by doing a Saturday afternoon in Lancaster rather than a first Friday. It may have been the nice weather we had, but it may be a new tradition! This outing starting with some coffee, cocktails on the roof top and then dinner at Double C. I think I may be obsessed and I cannot wait to go back!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This cute Mexican vibe inspired restaurant has a great bar with high tops and seating area. The staff was super friendly, had great recommendations. I think next time I want to sit at the bar for that experience!

Drinks: Mexican, means margaritas are must! We had our mind set on ordering the colonial margarita. After hearing the flavor of the day was spice orange it was a no brainer. Then we also ordered it by the jar to share! It was delicious, the perfect fall flavor, but not too much of a spice flavor. It gets a 10/10!

Menu: There were so many choices on the menu. The waiter recommended starting with some chips and we picked salsa as our pair. The chips were homemade, perfectly crispy and salty all at the same time! 10/10 The salsa was the perfect chunky consistency with a hint of a smoky flavor. 8.5/10 Delicious, though I think the chips would have went better with queso!

Since we made a stop before, i opted for tacos so I would not over stuff myself. They had pork belly tacos, so for me a must order! They were on corn tortillas with cheese, cabbage, salsa and a chimichurri sauce that just paired so beautifully together! These tacos get a 11/10 and I would order them again, every time I go LOL. Tips/Recommendations: We made a reservation and I highly recommend if you are going to dinner. We were running a bit late, and they still held our table for us! Bar is first, come first serve, so come prepared. Chips are delicious, but I don’t think they are necessary. Tacos are a must try, especially the pork belly and so are the margaritas! I also also recommend ordering the mason jar: more tequila for you buck lol! And as always, try something new every time you go.
