Berwyn Tavern

Another night out after a hard work out; this time at Berwyn Tavern. It’s right across from La Cabra. It was a hard body combat class so that meant good food and drinks were necessary!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: They have bar seating, high tops, tables and outdoor seating. It is a tavern/pub style vibe. Not really a dive, but we would call it your “main line dive” LOL. We came on trivia night so it was pretty busy and at times the teams were a bit rowdy. But bartenders were overall friendly and accommodating.

Drinks/Cocktails: They  have a wide variety of drafts, bottles, wine and cocktails. Even seasonal drinks to try! Around the table, we truly sampled their selection by ordering a beer, glass or wine and a margarita! Despite some slow service for the later rounds, overall the drinks hit the spot! Menu: I took a peek at the menu before arriving. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted, was thinking some chicken tenders and fries. But after a killer work out, I was ready for some carbs LOL. So I decided to order the Philly cheesesteak with fries. And as expected, I was not disappointed and had no trouble eating it; all of it. It was not the best cheesesteak I have had, but it was delicious and the perfect balance of steak, onions and cheese. The fries were hot and crispy and definitely worth the order! The burgers and other sandwiches on the menu sounded delicious, so I want to try more the next time I go! See the full menu here!

Tips/Recommendations: If you like trivia, then Thursday nights are when you want to go. We arrived just after 7:30pm and diner rush died down, but still a decent number of people for trivia. I would definitely recommend the cheesesteak and fries as well as the margarita! And as always, try something new every time you go!
