I blame this post all on Lia! Lols…but it a good way of course. She talked and sent pictures of the homemade cranberry syrup she made for cocktails, so I had to give it a go as well! It is super easy and you can customize it any way you’d like.

In a pot, I added a bag of cranberries, water, fresh squeezed lemon and orange juice, dash of cinnamon and ground ginger and some sugar. I covered the pot and let them come to a boil. I occasionally stir everything together as well as smashed the cranberries as they got softer. As the syrup started to come together, I gave it a taste and it was a bit too tart for me. So I added more sugar and a bit more water.

Once it cooked down and I smashed all cranberries, I removed from the heat and used my hand immersion blender to get it as smooth as possible.

Lastly, I strained it (the most annoying part besides cleaning the dishes). I keep it stored in a mason jar in the fridge and it keeps for a decent time. Unless you go through it fast LOL. It pairs so well with tequila, citrus rum and mango rum! It also goes well over fruit and pancakes.
Have you made a cranberry syrup before or any other fruit syrup? What is your favorite or what should I try next? Comment Below!
