Who doesn’t love cookies around the holidays? I think the better question is who can say no to cookies around the holidays? LOL I love Oreos! So to level them up, we make a chocolate chip cookie inside the Oreo!
It is pretty easy, but a bit more time consuming. I decided to try a different chocolate chip cookie recipe than what I posted before – and let me tell you, it was so yummy! I ended up doubling the recipe below to get lots of cookies!
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 6 tbsp. oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
First I preheated the oven to 375. Then lined the baking sheets with parchment paper. In one medium bowl, I combined all the dry ingredients. Then in my stand mixer, I creamed the butter and sugar and added the eggs and vanilla. The slowly I added the dry ingredients to the mixer, combining until the dough was formed. Lastly, I folded in the chocolate chips (these we never measure lol).

I then opened each Oreo and placed them on the baking sheet (icing side of the Oreo). I topped each half with a scoop of cookie dough. Then top it with the other half of the Oreo. I bake them about 12-15 minutes depending how golden brown I like them.

They were a big hit and think from now, I will be using this recipe moving forward! How do you level up your Oreos?
