We continue to explore the area around us! Lumbrada Cocina Mexicana was recommended to us by a teammate from our co-ed league, so we thought we check it out during happy hour!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: They had fun decor for Halloween/Dia De Los Muertos that gave a great seasonal vibe! There are tables, booths and bar seating. Its open inside and I saw in the summer months they had outdoor seating as an option as well! We sat at the bar and the staff was so friendly and welcoming!
Drinks/Cocktails: We came during happy hour and margaritas were $1 off, so naturally that is what we ordered. They come in two sizes, and we opted to go BIG! It was freshly made and perfectly strong, a 10/10! But they have a variety of drinks, beers, cocktails and margaritas! Next time I may order their margarita flight! Check out their full drink menu here!
Menu: Like most Mexican places, chips and salsa are on the house and freshly made! The chips were perfectly crispy but thin and salty! I honestly could just eat that and drink margaritas and be content haha. We were not going for food, but we started to read them menu and had to order something LOL. Andy ordered the taquitos that were topped with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and queso fresco (9/10). I ordered the chicken tamales with red sauce (9/10)! Both were so delicious and flavorful. We would recommend them both. I cannot wait to go back and taste more of their menu because everything sounded so yummy. Click here to check out the menu!
Tips/Recommendations: If you love margaritas and authentic Mexican food, this is the place for you. We only had a small sample of what they offer, but I don’t think any one drink or food item will disappoint. Go during happy hour for $1 off margaritas! If you go, let me know – because I am coming with you LOL. And as always, try something new every time you go!
