Morgan’s Brooklyn BBQ (KOP)

Coming to Morgan’s Brooklyn BBQ was a recommendation from some coworkers. I thought I should check it out because I would like the food! But honestly I can’t wait to go back to try more off their menu.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: Morgan’s is located at KOP Mall. They have a cozy and cute outdoor patio with plenty of seating and lights! Inside they have tables and a bar. I opted to sit at the bar. The inside has great BBQ décor with parts of the pig/cow etc. as well as chalk board menus. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Our bartender that day …could have been better. But overall a great place for a date, friends get together or family outing!

Drinks/Cocktails: They have a variety of local beers on tap, can beers, bourbon/whiskeys, wine cocktails and more! They make their own lemonade and sweet (unsweet) tea. Menu: I had a hard time deciding. I know, that is not a surprise to most of you. Ordered wings and the smoked pork belly, along with the bacon mac and cheese and their homemade corn bread. I went big and ordered the large, but I would have definitely been fine just ordering the small. But I had leftovers enough for two more meals so it all worked out. The corn bread was delicious and moist! The pork belly was very tender and flavorful. It paired well with their homemade BBQ sauces. The mac and cheese was soooo cheesy and perfect (12/10). I would order that again and probable try the cheeseburger or truffle mac and cheese because they both sound just as good. But I will order that when Mom is with me, because I know she will enjoy it just as much as me!

Next time I want to try their brisket with mac and cheese or possible on a sandwich. They have platter options, sandwiches and fried chicken. I also need to try their dessert – fried Oreos to be specific. I would have if I wasn’t already there so long waiting on a refill of water and take out boxes, but it was just time for me to leave. To check out more of their menu click here!

Tips/Recommendations: Take a peep at the menu before you go. Unless you know exactly what you want, it will be a hard decision. Look at their platter options! It can give you a taste of a variety of items. The couple down the bar from us said they have the best potato salad. So add that to your list to order (it’s on my list too). Everyone order something different to share! The small mac and cheese would be plenty, but order the large if you want leftovers! Don’t forget dessert! I feel like I should have at least ordered it to go because I regret not tasting those fried Oreos LOL. And as always, try something new every time you go!
