Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream (Berwyn, PA)

You know I love ice cream! We always need to find the ice cream spots that are close by. Next to try was Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream just down the main line!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This ice cream spot had a long line, but they had about 4 windows of staff taking orders, so luckily it went by quickly. Staff are welcoming and friendly, and they know their ice cream!

Menu: They have a long list of ice cream flavors, some are seasonal while others are year around. They offer ice cream in a dish, cone, milkshake or hurricane. I ordered the sampler dish, because as always I could not decide what flavor to order. The sampler you get to pick from favors and it was just what I needed. I ordered mint chocolate chip (12/10), black raspberry (10/10) chocolate cake batter (10/10) and chocolate peanut butter brownie (12/10). Homemade ice cream is the best, and all four flavors were amazing, creamy and not too sweet at all.  The mint chocolate chip was green mint and perfectly balance. The black raspberry was tart and pair so well with the chocolate cake batter, which was literally like eat cake batter! The chocolate peanut butter brownie was my favorite. The chocolate ice cream was so creamy with HUGE chunks of peanut butter and brownie bites! Check out more flavors by clicking here!

Tips/Recommendations: The hurricane, is similar to DQ blizzards or McDonald’s McFlurries, so if you like either of them, the hurricane is the way to order! If you are like me and can’t decide, then definitely order the sample. Go with a group of people and all get different flavors to taste them all. Order their seasonal flavors before they leave the menu. And as always, order something new every time you!
