Anyone else love being a kid and eating some boxed Mac & Cheese?! 🙋🏽♀️ Mac & cheese is my go to comfort food. I love it anyway, any cheese (most cheeses), from a boxed, homemade or even a microwavable cup. I won’t hide it – I still will eat like I am a college student. 🤷🏽♀️ Sometimes life doesn’t have time to make a full homemade mac and you need the quick convenience of a college microwaveable meal!
Back to boxed mac and cheese. Do you have a favorite box brand? Do you have a preference of powder cheese versus a cheese sauce? Personally, I rather have a cheese sauce. I find that it is cheesier, creamier and tastes less like a box compared to the powder cheese. 😂 Some of my favorite brands include Cracker Barrel and Velveeta. I’d love to hear your favorite brands and ways you elevate boxed mac and cheese! The pictures above I seasoned it with salt, white pepper, ground mustard. I added a little bit of french butter, milk and mozzarella cheese. The left is topped with hot sauce and crunched Cheetos! It was delicious! The right was just as delicious topped with fried sausage, crushed pretzels and white truffle oil drizzle. 🤤🤤 I am always looking for new ways to step up the simple mac and cheese.
