Birthday celebrations means trying new places. This year mom decided to try Manila Café.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: This spot is located in a small strip shopping center. The café has some grocery items you can by and take. But they do have more of a market a couple doors down. The cafe is set up almost food court style, where you go up and order and then there is seating for those that want to sit in.
Drinks: They have bottled and canned sodas and other drinks that have been imported in. They also have a self serve water cooler. I think that is a great option for those eating in!

Menu: As I mentioned, they have a food court style display. They do have their usually items on their menu, but they also post rotating specials that could be available. We each ordered a combination plater where we could pick what we want. I ordered the crispy pork belly (of course) with pancit and sauteed veggies. The pork was very crispy, yet tender and fatty all at the same time! How it is supposed to be. The pancit was cooked well, nothing special, but it was delicious. They also had the spicy vinegar as the dipping side, which is my favorite. The sauteed veggies were a great side to pair everything together. Dad had asked for garlic fried rice, which I think was the best. Everything tasted like great home-cooked recipes. But I wouldn’t say it was amazing. The servings were a good side and I had a nice packed lunch meal to take home and enjoy again! They do have regular menus, but also daily specials. You can see the menu here!

Tips/Recommendations: I think if you are in the area and want Filipino food, this is the perfect spot. But I don’t think you need to travel to try it. I recommend the pork belly and the garlic fried rice. But as always, try something new every time you go!
