I went to First Post for a rehearsal dinner and now I am ready to go back and try more of their menu!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: First Post is bigger than you think as you pull up. They have a full seating area and bar downstairs. But they also have rooms and a bar upstairs. We were in the presidential suite, and it was the perfect room for our small group. They had pictures of Presidents around the room! Staff were friendly and attentive!
Drinks: They have full bar with beer, both bottle and draft, as well as wine, liquor cocktails and more! I opted to order from the season cocktail menu. I tried both apple cider inspired cocktails. They were very fall and festive, delicious and the perfect balance of alcohol.

Menu: The menu is not large, but they do have a decent amount to offer and are all good options! We started off with appetizers for the table to share. The calamari was perfectly crispy with a light batter, the crab dip was cheesy yet crab forward, the burrata and shrimp were good, but not my favorite. I am not sure I would order then again or recommend them. For dinner, I ordered the NY strip cooked medium rare. It was served with green beans and potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The cut was meaty and fatty, all the components to make a great steak! The potatoes were soft yet crispy on the outside. Altogether, it was a great entrée choice, and I give it a 9/10. I may have filled up on apps too early, but I had a litter bit left over that made for the perfect packed lunch. Click here to see their full menu.

Tips/Recommendations: I think this is a place to add to you need to try list. They were busy for a Friday night, so I recommend a reservation or plan accordingly. It was a great choice for rehearsal dinner, so keep that in mind when looking for event spots. And as always, try something new every time you go!
