Union Coffee (Lambertville, NJ)

When we came into Lambertville Friday afternoon, I had to go back to Lambertville Coffee Company. Their ice coffees are so delicious and I am obsessed with the fact that they used coffee cubes to avoid a watered-down coffee. But Saturday morning being on the other side of town, we had to try somewhere new. Union Coffee was right around the corner.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: I am not always one to sleep in, especially when not in my own bed. So it’s no surprise I was ready for coffee and food right when Union coffee opened. But let me tell you, this place is popular as people were lined up outside waiting for the doors to open. You could tell they have tables they preferred because most went to the table first before ordering. Clearly a place for regulars. But it was a great coffee house setting, with a warm cozy vibe, friendly staff and chill music playing. The had seating outside as well. But we sat inside by the front window for prime people watching.

Drinks: They have a full coffee menu, with seasonal specials as well as smoothies and other varieties. I opted for a lavender latte that was coffee forward, but calming all at the same time. It was delicious and a great way to pump up the morning. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their drinks. Plus they have fun latte art!

Menu: They have a several sweet options, as well as savory menu items and to go items for lunch or snacks etc. I ordered the ham and cheese quiche. It was warm, cheese forward and a delicious savory bite! It paired well with the coffee as well.

Tips/Recommendations: If you are looking to sit and enjoy their coffee, note they do get busy and plan accordingly. They do have quick service and to-go coffee is another great option. I recommend trying their quiche and sitting by the front windows. And as always, try something new every time you go!
