After our predinner margaritas, we walked across the court yard (luckily the rain had stopped) and had dinner at Revolution Woodfire Grille.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: Much like the Boathouse, it so nice how this is tucked back off the main road. It creates a nice quiet dinner setting. It sits right on the canal, which provides a beautiful back drop for dinner as well! The staff are amazing. The chef personally came to our tables (twice because he missed me the first time!) And as you guessed from the name, they have a large woodfire grill in the middle in an open setting where guests can watch and dine right by! I think something I would do the next time I go (so yes, I would come back!). It was the perfect spot for dinner. I think it is great for family, friends, or date night!

Drinks: They do not have a large drink menu, but they do have a variety of options. Honestly, I think the boathouse has more fun options (something to keep in mind when you plan!). I knew I wanted to order a steak off the woodfire grill, so I opted to order a Stella. It was refreshing, perfect for the summer and paired well with the steak.

Menu: Not a large menu, but they did offer daily specials. Given the name and that we walked right by the woodfire grill, I had to order something from there. Without much thought, steak was the choice. But first we needed a lil appetizer to start the night. The country fried oysters were calling my name. They were light, yet so crispy. I also loved that they were meaty and served with a black pepper remoulade that was the perfect pair! They also serve two kinds of French bread and butter. It was warm, soft and delicious! For the main course I ordered the ribeye cut (one of my favorites!). Much like The Hawke and Joey Chops, the steak is the star and you order the sides a la carte. We ordered mashed potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus. All were delicious. I loved that they charred the asparagus on the wood fire grill. The mushroom medley was delicate, delicious and so mushroom forward. It paired perfectly with the ribeye! But the mashed potatoes were my favorite as they were creamy, buttery, and perfectly whipped. I also decided to go for dessert because they had a panna cotta with fresh summer berries. It was one of the best ones I had! Partially why the chef came to our table! See the rest of their menu here.

Tips/Recommendations: Overall it was a delicious meal. I would go back again to taste more of their menu. If you plan to go for dinner, a reservation is recommended. Though the woodfire is their feature, we’ve been told that the crabcakes are the best in the area. So, now I must go back and give them a try! I do however, also recommend getting the steak. You will not be disappointed. And as always try something new every time you go.
