Green Street Grill

Still slowly catching up here – but there so many fun more things to share! A few coworkers were raving about Green Street Grill and recommend giving it a try, so we did! Overall, it was good. I do want to go back and try more, but I am not in a rush. At the moment, I think I still enjoy Kelly’s better lol. But I am not writing off Green Street.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This corner café is deceiving from the outside. Inside it is much bigger than it appears with lots of table, counter seating and art covering the walls. Staff are very attentive, and the service is top notch. You can see everyone working together, including the owner. They were very busy when we arrived, but we were able to be seated right away and the service was speedy!

Drinks: A variety and go to breakfast options. I went with coffee. It was hot and delicious house blend. All staff came by frequently to check and make sure you your coffee cup never went empty.  I love when that happens.

Menu: Their menu isn’t large, but they do have a good variety with a lot of different options and combinations you do not always see. I was a bit overwhelmed, so I decided to keep it simple to give a good baseline review. I was hungry and almost forgot to take a picture, but you get the idea. The combination platter included 2 eggs, breakfast meet, hash browns and toast. I also had to order a side of cream chipped beef to give it a taste. I like that they asked you how many pieces of toast you wanted. The eggs were farm fresh cooked perfectly. The bacon was perfectly crispy and salty with every bite. I did enjoy their cream chipped beef. It had a bit of a spice to it, that made it unique. What I wasn’t a fan of was the hash brown. The shredded potato is usually my least favorite. You could tell they were fresh shredded potatoes, not frozen. But they were not cooked enough for me. So next time I will definitely ask from them to be extra crispy. Overall a decent breakfast. Tips/Recommendations: 8am on Sunday they were crowded already, so plan accordingly if you want more of a quiet breakfast. Seeing the different foods come out, I don’t think you can go wrong with any order. If you like crispy hash browns like me, order them extra crispy. I think the cream chipped beef is a definite order if you are a fan. And as always, try something new every time you go!
