Broccoli Cheddar Spread

Whoops another recipe you need to use your imagination, because somehow, I forgot the pictures LOL. But here is another game day bite. It was meant to be a dip but it turned out to be more of a spread – still delicious!

I started by steaming some broccoli; it was just a small head. I didn’t want to over steam it as I wanted it to still have a bit of a crunch. To I bowl, I added 1 block of soften cream cheese, the chopped steamed broccoli, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and cheddar cheese. I mixed it all together and gave it a taste and seasoned more as needed. I let it refrigerate for a few hours before enjoying. I served this with pumpernickel bread, and it made for a great combination. It also went well with veggies and crackers.

I think next time around I will use more of a sour cream or mayo base so that it become more of a dip rather than a spread. But it did make for a great game day treat! If you have other fun veggie spreads or dips – comment below!
