Gettysburg Eddies (Gettysburg, PA)

After a day of exploring the battlefield, beer was needed and maybe some food! Gettysburg Eddies was the selection.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: While researching places, this place came up with the tag line “bar and eatery with a baseball theme” and that is exactly the vibe. This small spot right down the road from ABC and such an old-time family ballpark feel. The walls were covered with sports memorabilia, both local and country wide. It was late afternoon (after the lunch rush) so it wasn’t too busy. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly. It was the perfect spot for some afternoon beers and light bites!

Drinks: They did not have a huge beer selection, but they did have wine and cocktails. Again, I just went with the sour that was on tap. A perfect afternoon beverage!

Menu: They look to have a great selection on the menu. The food I saw coming out looked pretty good to. We were just looking for some small bites, so I didn’t want to fill up. I did contemplate the crab and shrimp bisque but went with the crab dip over French fries. They were loaded fries with cheesy dip melted all over. I really enjoyed the crispiness of the fries and they pair well with the dip. They crab was delicious and I was a bit sad that I didn’t order the bisque because I bet you it would have been so delicious!! They had several crab items on the menu, so I do think it is something worth ordering. The fries came out to be much larger than I was anticipating so I did have leftovers. They reheated in the air fryer perfectly! The rest of their menu looks and sounds good, especially the pasta LOL. So something I may need to come back and check out! Click here to see yourself.

Tips/Recommendations: Sit at the bar if you can. They do have take out option if you are on the run. I think you cannot go wrong with anything crab or their French fries! Stop by to watch any sporting event because it is a great sports bar! And as always, try something new every time you go.
