Here we go friends, more reviews and recipes coming your way. I am going to play a game with myself to see if I can catch before the new year lol. Up next is a newspaper press turned bar: The Record in Coatesville.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: This cute spot definitely tried to keep the history and vibe of a printing press. They displayed several copies of papers throughout the years. They have a fairly open concept with booths, tables, high tops and a large bar. It is an all-around fun atmosphere with a great date night vibe.

Drinks: The have a variety of drinks to offer, including beer, wine and cocktails. Several cocktails caught my eye, but for a Friday night they seemed to be out of everything I was thinking of ordering. I ordered the Editorial (Jameson, blackberry and ginger beer). It was super refreshing, not sweet and strong. I give it a 9/10. It was pretty hard to not drink it down too fast LOL and I would get it again next time I go.

Menu: The menu is not large, but it does offer a variety. We had to sample a few items and give them a full review; plus decide if it is worth coming back again. But I will tell you it is worth it, overall the food was pretty good but I would still make a few suggestions. Here is what was ordered and my overall take:
-Sticky pork ribs: they were large, with very tender meat. I was thinking they would give an Asian flavor being sticky, spicy and topped with peanuts. They were good and the meat was cooked perfectly. They just were not what I was expecting so I would only rate them at a 7.5/10 and I am not sure I would order them again or not.
-Baja fish tacos: these were filled with one big piece of deep fried cod. It was super crispy and paired deliciously with the chipotle mayo. The flour tortilla did not hold up well and I would have preferred a corn tortilla. But I would get these again and give them an 8.5/10.

-Wings: These melted in your mouth. They are not crispy game day wings, but slow roasted chicken like as the meat just fell off the bones. Because of this the skin wasn’t crispy, but I don’t think it took away from the fun of eating wings. They had a homemade hot sauce and it was topped pistachios that gave it a little crunch. It was served with a fennel ranch dip, that I thought was delicious and completed the perfect bite. I give these a 9/10.
-Wild Mushroom Pizza: we all know I love mushrooms and they are my favorite pizza topping. So this was a no brainer to order. Let me tell you, it was my favorite dish of the night. It was thin yet crispy crust. The mushrooms and goat cheese melted in your mouth, but the top of truffle vinaigrette was the zing you needed to cut any heaviness from the cheese. I give this a 10/10 and it will be hard not to order this every time.
-French fries: I love the salty crunchy snacks with my cocktails, so I had to try the fries. That and I saw the go by several times and I had a bit of FOMO. They were fresh cut, crispy with the perfect amount of salt. I was missing malt vinegar (which they didn’t have, because I asked). For that I have to give them a 9.5/10 as malt vinegar would make them the perfect bite!
I can’t wait to try more of their menu, because the burger and the steaks sound delicious and I am intrigued about their pastas!

Tips/Recommendation: We had a reservation, though they were not busy when we got there, they were by the time we left. So plan accordingly. They also offer take out/door dash as there was many to go orders, so keep that option in mind as well! I recommend the tacos and pizza for sure. But I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. Order a variety to share and test it out like I did; you will not be disappointed. And as always, try something new every time you go.

I’m thinking I’d like the Jameson drink too. 🙂
