Pho Now (Thorndale, PA)

I hadn’t been to Pho Now since pre-covid. It was pretty exciting to go back. I actually only did to go orders, because it was easy. But this time around I enjoyed the dining in option!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This spot is located in a strip mall right on the corner. They have outdoor seating and a full dining room section inside. It gives a modern Asian vibe but a simplistic décor design. Staff are nice and offer quick service. As mentioned, I typically do take out and they had a steady crowd of both dine in and take out on a Friday evening.

Drinks: They offer a variety of teas, coffees and Vietnamese shakes. But water was all that was needed! Maybe next time I will venture to taste one of their other drink offerings.

Menu: I love Pho, but in the summer time, I love to order the vermicelli bowls. Pho is colder weather and personally I like to order it to go better. They keep the broth, noodles and veggies etc. separate. Helps you create a perfect bowl plus have leftovers that do not absorb all your broth LOL. Anyways, back to the food ordered on this visit LOL. I always have to start with the summer rolls (A3). They are my absolute favorite and the peanut dipping sauce is so addicting. Unlike Rice & Noodles, that provides the combination, Pho now offers pork or shrimp. So naturally I didn’t want to decide and both were ordered. They get a 9/10, I do like the pork slightly better, but not by much. It’s really the peanut sauce that makes it the perfect bite! For main course a vermicelli platter with grilled pork (B2) was ordered. This dish is vermicelli noodles topped with fresh shredded lettuce, carrots, radishes, chopped green onions, grilled pork and crushed peanuts. It is served with this vinaigrette type dressing that is so light, refreshing and so flavorful. It is a cold dish which is why it is perfect for the summer. I really enjoyed the grilled pork, tender with lots of flavor. I would give this dish a 10/10. Click here to see the full menu!

Tips/Recommendations: First go check it out. Do take out if you are in a time crunch. The summer rolls are a must order; MUST! And as always, something new every time you go!
