As mention in the last review, only drinks and oysters were enjoyed, so I needed to come back at give The Hawke a full meal try and review! And let me tell you, there is a new bar set very high for the best steaks and once again I cannot wait to go back!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: This time around, a meal inside was enjoyed. I made a reservation this time and they had us tucked back in the corner. It was a steady evening of guest, which made great people watching. Instead gives a modern yet historical vibe. A nice u-shaped bar and plenty of dinning seating. The staff once again were so friendly and made you feel so welcomed. They made sure to continually check on the table and see if you need other drinks, which was perfect as it may have been a few hours long of a dinner.

Drinks: I need to start remember names or taking picture of drink menus LOL. They are not always available online β so therefore I cannot tell you what cocktail I ordered. I can tell you it was a martini type and blood orange flavor and it was so delicious! I would order it again for sure. With dessert, I ordered an espresso martini, that was hands down the best one I have ever had. It was the perfect strong punch of alcohol with the balance punch of coffee. The frothed cream topping was perfectly creamy and created for the best sip each time.

Menu: Just like last time, the bread and butter combination was given. It was just as good as I remembered last time. Oysters were ordered as well. The daily selection (I donβt remember the name) were good, but they were very tiny. I ate 1 dozen and I feel like it wasnβt enough LOL. But room needed to be save for the main course. I went in knowing they were a steakhouse and I wanted steak. I didnβt expect to be hit with the daily specials, of like 5 different options. You end up hearing the list of specials like 10 times for each new table around you, it made you want to order one. They sounded so good, but I couldnβt decide what was the best to order. So I stuck with my original plan of order steak.

The waitress said that cowboy ribeye was the go to favorite β so that is what I went with. The Hawke keeps their steak the star and offer sides by the plate. I added mushrooms and mashed potatoes and they each came out on a separate plate. Once seeing everything I understood why they kept the steak separate. It was a beaut and just as delicious as it looked. The bite of a mushroom, steak and mashed potatoes were so good. I ordered the steak rare and it came out perfect. I am now dreaming about having more as I share with you! It was large, 18oz and I felt like it was seasoned very well. I ended up saving a bit of everything for a nice left over, for room for dessert. But I probably could have ate it all if I skipped dessert! To go with the espresso martini, I ordered the mini donuts. They were dusted with cinnamon and sugar with a caramel dipping sauce. They were the small bite of what is needed to end a wonderful dinner experience. I had some leftover, that paired very well with coffee.

Tips/Recommendations: As I said it was a steady night, so I would recommend making reservations if you can. The steak was one of the best, if not the best steak I had β so itβs worth an order at least once. I think the mashed potatoes were my favorite side, so you cannot go wrong pairing that with a steak. Save room for dessert paired with an espresso martini. And as always, try something new every time you go!
