Ron’s Original (Exton, PA)

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This Italian restaurant is located right off Route 100. They have a bar and restaurant side. We went in on a mission – sit at the bar and order a beer and burger. So we sat at the bar. The bartenders were awesome. Friendly, welcoming and created a great vibe to enjoy. Towards the end of our stay, live music started in the bar and that was great to listen to and end the day!

Drinks: They have a variety of beers on draft and even more in bottles. They also have liquor, wine and specialty cocktails. On Saturday, specialty cocktails were the special. I decided to try a new cider flavor. It was delicious, but not what I wanted with a burger. It was a bit too sweet. I ordered a watermelon margarita and they was hands down my favorite. It must be something about tequila… LOL

Menu: They have a massive menu, with some great items. But I stuck to the plan of ordering a burger so I only looked at the section. Thank goodness because it could have been a bit until I decided LOL. I went with the Bacon Cheddar burger. But of course I added pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. Because they help to complete the burger bite! The fries were crinkle and they were the perfect balance of crunch, soft potatoes and salt. The burger was fully packed and messy, just the way a burger should be. You had the option to have it made to order. I ordered it medium-rare and it came out perfect. The burger craving was completely satisfied! Ron’s is also known for their ovals … a personal pizza. A cheesesteak oval was ordered to go for a late night bite. Again, it was the perfect bite and balance of cheese, steak and the crust was thinner so it didn’t over power the toppings. So to recap – you will not be disappointed no matter what you order. Tips/Recommendations: Another must check out spot to add to your list. They have great happy hour specials, including ovals! So make sure you plan a happy hour trip. The bar is great and I would definitely recommend sitting there during live music. The dining room does get busy so plan accordingly. Check out the daily specials and try at least one of the burger options! But as always, try something new every time you go!
