Next stop on the exploring tour is More than Q.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: First stumbled upon this place while walking around town in the morning. You could smell the wonderful BBQ scents in the street and the lineup of guitars alone, made you want to walk in and check it out. They weren’t open yet, but met the owner and he was so friendly. He gave a bit of history and shared that live music was in store later in the day – which meant we had to come back and check it out as well as test all the amazing meat smells!

Drinks: They have bottle water, juices and soft drinks. But they are BYOB and a state store was just across the street. It was the perfect location to grab a couple of brews to enjoy with some BBQ.

Menu: So naturally meat was on the brain and that is what needed to be ordered. After looking at the options on the menu and seeing all the different meats come out of the kitchen (half open style) I had a hard time deciding. I know a shocker to you all. But so I didn’t have to make too hard of a choice and to get the best bank for the buck, a combination platter was decided! You get the choice to two meats (pork ribs and brisket were selected), plus two sides (fries and fried pickles), two drinks and their house pickled jalapenos and pickle chips. The meats were seasoned to perfection and cooked completely where they are tender/fall off the bone and just melt in your mouth. The brisket was my favorite. They also had a selection of BBQ sauces, but honestly the meats were flavored enough that you really didn’t need them. But they were a fun flavor add! The French fries were standard but pair well with the meets. The fried pickles were breaded light but still very crunchy. They were served with a fun dipping sauce as well. Everything was delicious and made great leftovers. Except the fried pickles they did not reheat nicely. Click here to see the full menu!

Tips/Recommendations: First, you must try it. Even if it’s to go! Check out one of their several locations. I don’t think you will be disappointed with any of the meats, but the brisket I would say is a must order. Go on a Saturday afternoon to enjoy the live music as well. And don’t forget to make a pit stop for some brews across the street. And as always, try something new every time you go!
