Mad Anthony Wayne Cafe (Wayne, PA)

Feeling accomplished by going to the gym on the weekend deserves going out for coffee and breakfast – or is that just me?! Anyways, I found myself at Mad Anthony Wayne Café.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This small, cute café is right here at the Wayne Septa Station on the Paoli/Thorndale line. It’s open, with high ceilings and view of the trainS. It’s an open style café where you can see the baristas at work. It a great place to come and sit enjoy coffee, or meet friends. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The décor is great with some awesome history of the area!

Drinks: They have a variety of drinks, both hot and cold. They always have seasonal specials that you will want to check out! It was a colder morning, so hot drink was necessary. I decided to try a special before it’s not an option anymore. I went with the Red Velvet Cortado which has mocha and cupcake syrup. It was smooth and not sweet. It didn’t really remind me of red velvet, but it was delicious. It was served in the most beautiful glass cup and saucer that now I want to go get some for myself haha. It gets a 8/10. Second time around, I decided to order a chocolate covered strawberry latte. It was delicious, chocolatey, with a hint of strawberry. It wasn’t too sweet or over powering.

Menu: There is a display of pastries/sweets. There are bagels, breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. They also have gelato, that I will need to come back and try! I decided to order the breakfast panini sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese. It was warm and delicious, nothing amazing or outstanding, but I would still give it a 6/10. I will say some of their other lunch sandwiches sound like I need to try them! LOL

Tips/Recommendations: First, make sure you check it out. Order a hot drink to dine in and get a fancy glass. My to go latte was just as good, but I enjoyed sitting inside with a pretty cup! But still try it to go if you’re on a time crunch LOL. Order a special item before they leave the menu. I know I haven’t tried the gelato yet, but I am adding that to my recommendations anyways! Any as always try something new every time you go.
