Wild Wing Cafe (Johnson City, TN)

Well I did’t completely catch up before 2022 came to end, but we’re getting there. The last adventure of 2022 was to Tennessee. First up on the review, Wild Wing Cafe. My parents had been here before, and really liked their wings. We were looking for a place to watch USA in the world cup and ended up here for a 10am kick off!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: Wild Wing Cafe, is more like a sport bar than cafe LOL. It is open with plenty of seating around the bar, high tops and tables. Plenty of TVs to not miss any action of any game! Though it wasn’t crowded at 10am for the USA game, the staff were friendly, welcoming and ready to make it a great time for the few customers there!

Drinks: They have a long list of drafts, drinks, wines and more. But given it was still morning, Mom and I opted to order the orange crush! It was fresh, delicious and refreshing! It was the right amount of kick in the morning and gets a 9/10!

Menu: They have a large menu, and as I am sure you can tell from the name, wings are a signature! LOL. We knew we were getting wings, but it was which of the 30 some sauces offered do we want, and what else do we want! We started with fried mushrooms. Their spicy beer batter was light, yet crispy and the mushrooms juicy! They were served with a ranch dipping sauce and get an 8/10! We also ordered the buffalo chips. House made chips, topped with hot sauce, ranch and blue cheese crumbles! They were hot, yet creamy and crunchy (10/10). For wings, we ordered the platter of 25 wings and were able to pick 5 sauces. Not easy, but we decided on: Gold Rush, The Slayer, Nashville Hot, Mad Anthony’s BBQ and Red, Hot & Blue. They were all pretty delicious, but my favorite was the Red, Hot and Blue as you could taste the blue cheese cooked into them. Overall wings get a 9/10. Click here to see the full menu.

Tips/Recommendations: We sat at the bar and it was a great experience! I would recommend all the items that we ordered! The platter of wings was great to taste multiple sauces and our appetizers hit the spot! They have several locations you can check out and this one does do take out/delivery! And as always, try something new every time you go!
