Annie Bailey’s (Lancaster, PA)

Stop two of Lia and my night back out was Annie Baileys! They are and probably always will be one of my favorite places downtown. Pre-Covid (I cannot wait for this to no longer be a phrase LOL) Happy Hour was our favorite time to go. Like other places too, happy hour has not returned. But we enjoy all times of the day at Annie Baileys so you want to check it out!

Ambiance/atmosphere: This Irish inspired pub has a beautiful updated patio with plenty of seating, a bar and covering if the weather is questionable. The bar inside is long with plenty of seating and tables throughout. There is lot of wood décor giving a rustic feeling, but there is also a brick fire place inside that gives that warm at home feeling! The staff are welcoming and so friendly. They always have great recommendations if you have a hard time choosing. Their outside patio is our favorite!

Cocktails/Drinks: Another menu to offer a variety of drinks, beers and cocktails. They have your Irish favorites like Guinness, Harp, Irish coffees and whiskey! They also offer cocktails on tap. We have had the Bees Knees before (9/10)  that is another refreshing cocktail that is also calming! This time around we tried the Paloma, since we love tequila. This one was also refreshing (9/10), though we did not taste the tequila.. (maybe because stop 1 had two cocktails already?) but we would still order again. Click here to check out their drink menu!

Menu: I don’t know where to start on their menu, because everything is delicious. So let’s start with the appetizer. They have one of the best spinach artichoke dips I have ever ordered (10/10). I can’t wait for them to bring back happy hour with this item on it again!. Irish nachos are another great sharing app. You can order them with tortilla chips or waffle fries. Both ways are amazing and will not disappoint. It all depends on how hungry you are and how much other food you want to order LOL. On this trip we tried their Mexican street corn dip (9/10). It was creamy, zesty and Mexican spiced infused. Another great dip to share! The other app we ordered was the Pork Belly Deviled eggs. If pork belly is on the menu, then you know I am ordering it because I have to try it. This app (9/10) was the perfect summer finger food. Delicious deviled eggs topped with a piece of pork belly (could have been bigger pieces because it was so good LOL). Then the egg sat on top of a toasted slice of sourdough with a homemade bacon jam. It was the perfect savory and sweet combination. We would definitely order again!

Around the table also ordered the King Street burger and you cannot go wrong by ordering that. Other dinner items you cannot go wrong with ordering: fish and chips, bangers and mash, and Sheppard’s pie. Key an eye out for their specials too because they are always fun and yummy! We have also gone for brunch – another must try! Some similar dishes as dinner but also some breakfast favorites. To check out more of their menus click here!

Tips/Recommendations: If you have been to Annie Baileys, then you need to go haha. If you love brunch, try the brunch once! Make reservations as you can request outdoor seating if you prefer! Order the King Street burger and spinach artichoke dip as they are my top 2 must have menu items! If you go as a group, definitely order different items to share so you can taste more the menu at once. As always, try something new every time you go.
