You can’t go to a new spot and not try one of the local breweries. Virginia Beer Company was the selection, plus it was close to the Airbnb – we love that! They were also the last stop for our weekend!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: This was your typical style brew pub. Bar with traditional pub service where you order at the bar. They had high tops, tables and a full outside patio with firepits. The staff were friendly and made great recommendations. We happened to be there before live music started, so of course we had to stay. It was the perfect afternoon stop for a chill, vibe, good beer, and good music.
Drinks: They had about 10 different draft options as well as can options. I went to their sour option, one night in the thicket. It was a perfect tart and sour berry flavor. Almost too easy to drink. But that’s what you want for vacation. My only regret was not getting any to take home!
Menu: Check their website as they have food trucks scheduled on the regular. They also offer some package snacks if needed. We were still full from Longboards, so this was strictly a beer stop!
Tips/Recommendations: If you like beer, or live music, this is the place to go. I think this would be another great spot to try when the weather is nice. Check out what the food truck offerings will before you go so you can plan accordingly. If you like their beer, I recommend getting some to go, so you don’t regret it like I do. And as always, try something new every time you go!
