After a day at Jamestown, we thought we would do some shopping at the outlets in Williamsburg. But what we failed to remember, was that a holiday weekend that kicks off the Christmas season bring the crowds and no parking. After trying our best to drive through the mess of the outlets, we came to Longboards, another recommendation from our Airbnb host!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: This bar is located on the far corner of the shopping center. It’s décor and set up make you feel like your on a tropical island, which was very fun after a cold day exploring Jamestown. They have a bar and dinning area, plus a full outside patio (not open). We sat on the bar side where there was football games on the TV. It made for a tropical and fun atmosphere. The staff were amazing too! Attentive, but not annoying and made great recommendations.
Drinks: They have a full bar menu. Of course, when I say the seasonal margarita was an orange cranberry, I had to order it. It was deliciously citrusy, yet tart. It was the perfect fall margarita and gets a 9/10.

Menu: They have a full menu, bigger than I expected. It was a tropical island flavor forward, where seafood became your draw. We opted for apps to share. We started with the ahi tuna and crab mac and cheese. The tuna gets a solid 12/10. The were perfectly seared bites that I easily could have had the app myself; probably could have eaten two myself if I am honest LOL. The crab mac and cheese gets a 8/10. It was super cheesy and crabby in every bite. However, I fell in love with Old City BBQ’s mac so much, that this one was just not quite as good. But I would still order it again. Still a bit hungry and wanting another drink we ordered the crispy fish bites. This was the perfect bar bite to eat with your drink. Cod nuggets were perfectly fried and crispy. Yet the batter was thin and didn’t take away from the fish. The sunset remoulade that it was served with was the perfect sauce. They get a 10/10! Honestly, I wish I had time to try more, but it just means I will need to stop back here the next time I am in town. Click here to see the full menu.

Tips/Recommendations: This is a must try spot. I want to come back when the weather’s warm to enjoy their drinks and food on the patio. If you are shopping at the outlets, then you definitely have to stop. I recommend the ahi tuna, crab mac and cheese and the fish bites! All are delicious and a must try! And as always, try something new every time you go.
