Al Pastor (Exton, PA)

After work happy hours call for yummy bites and drinks! This time around we decided to try Al Pastor in Eagleview town center and now I need to go back!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: The décor and vibe of this place is on point! The light fixtures are sombreros and the wall has a cool candy skull mural. It was a very hot day, but they do have a large outdoor seating are that I think would be perfect for any occasion. Staff were so friendly as well!

Drinks: Obviously, I had to order a margarita. But of course, they offered them by the pitcher so YOLO.  They were bomb but apparently I forgot to take a picture lol. The perfect lime and tequila balance. They also felt never ending which is always fun LOL. They do have a full bar, but I am not sure I would ever pass up their margaritas when given the choice lol.

Menu: The menu is not very big, but they have enough items that sound good that it is still difficult to decide what to order. Our waitress recommended the guacamole, so we started with the chips and guac. She was right, it was delicious, and the chips were crispy and salty! They went well with the margarita. I think next time I want to try their queso or maybe even their nachos, because I saw them come out and they looked like a pile of foodie heaven.

I wanted to try their tacos, but I couldn’t mix and match the kinds. (Note to self, come on Tuesdays where you can order the tacos by the 1 instead of 3 lol). I like the idea that the burritos could be order in a bowl instead. I decided to order the wet bandit, because you could pick your protein. And of course I picked pork belly! Though our waitress talked me out of getting a bowl and I ordered it as a burrito, It was massive and I only really ate half of it. But I think next time I will do bowl because I couldn’t eat the burrito with my hands anyways lol. Overall the flavor was good, nothing over the top. The pork belly was chunky and delicious. I now would like to try it on their tacos or maybe event pizza or nachos! Click here to see their menu.

Tips/Recommendations: I do think it is worth a try. Come on Tuesdays for specials or during happy hour. It gives you a good chance to taste their menu. Sit outside on a nice day! The margaritas are definite order. I would say the chips with any dip or nachos would be your next must order. And as always, try something new every time you go!
