Mad Chef take two

It’s been a bit since I have highlight Mad Chef – so let’s share the Father’s Day Brunch we enjoyed!

Their new expansion had just evaluate this place, their service and the popularity! Since it was Father’s Day they did seat tables, instead of traditional pub style. I think the more they get busier, the better it is. Even on days like this, they still do the pub style order at the bar with no servers per table and I think this works. I still love their beer, but they now have expanded and offer other cocktails as well. A great upgrade to be able to appeal to more people! This time around I ordered their season sour beer – which was green. It was delicious, tart and refreshing all at the same time.

French fries as still the best food and a MUST order every time you go. But they have added pizza and continue to have specials. So you need to try the specials before they aren’t offered any more. This time around, we ordered the Father’s day Brunch specials including: the brunch father, not your Nona’s pizza and dad bod breakfast bowl. I order the brunch father and it was my fave – a 10/10! Thick Texas toast topped with braised short rib, mushroom gravy and eggs. It was bomb and my mouth is literally watering as I share with you. The pizza as also delicious. Topped with scrambled eggs, sausage, mortadella and cheese. It was a different combination, but I thought perfect for brunch pizza. It gets a 8/10. The bowl, well wasn’t really a bowl. It was topped biscuits, and I think it would have been better with made to order eggs (something gooey) rather than scrambled. The sausage gravy was decent and because of that I would give it a 6.5/10.

Mad Chef is still a great spot for food, beer, a good time with friends or family! I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already. Or just going back if it’s been a while (or not) because it’s totally worth it. And as always, try something new every time you go.
