Roadies & Penn’s Peak (Jim Thorpe, PA)

The trip to Jim Thorpe was created by getting tickets to see Robin Trower at Penn’s Peak. So of course, before the show some bites were necessary at Roadies, the restaurant upstairs.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This bar/restaurant is open to the public, but works out perfectly to be right above a venue to hit it before the show! It was busy with both visitors and concert goers. It has some fun rock and roll/concert posters a décor so it gives you a nice great vibe before you are seeing a concert!

Drinks: Another spot with a full bar of beers, cocktails, wine and more! I went for a blackberry margarita and it gets a 10/10! It does not disappoint with fresh blackberries and the perfect balance of tequila and not too sweet!

Menu: I was still a bit full from the earlier bites in Jim Thorpe, that I didn’t want to fill up too much before a concert. We ordered the steamed shrimp and spinach artichoke dip. Both were great small bites. The dip was not the best that I had as I felt it needed more cheese (to my standards lol) and was a bit too frozen food isle taste. But I love the salty tri-color chips so overall it gets a 6.5/10 from me!

Penn’s Peak Venue: After visiting Roadies, we went downstairs for the concert. This was a great concert venue. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house and bar and bites in the back. It allowed us to enjoy some beers during the show. It gives a log cabin in the mountains vibe (because the views outside are beautiful)! I would go back for another show and recommend it to all!

Tips/Recommendations: Look up their show list and get some tickets. It worth a visit as least once. Then make it a nice trip by visiting Jim Thorpe as well. I don’t think you will be disappointed. And as always, try something new every time you go!
